Paul’s Land’s End to John o’Groats Pilgrimage

From March through June, I am walking Land’s End to John o’Groats, spanning ~1,100 miles over 93 days, 75 days walking. Below are links to my journey’s tales. There may be a smidge of profanity in the commentary…
A Little About Me: I live in Washington State in the USA, very close to the Canadian border, and have 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs, Strudel and the puppy Crumble. I'm in my early fifties, rather tall, dog tattoos on my calves, like hiking, beer, travel, and I and married to the best person I know. I'm a regular hiker, and have done a trek in Nepal (Dolpo) and completed Costa Rica's El Camino now twice. Land's End to John o'Groats is the biggest bucket list item I have, and I've wanted to experience this for over twenty years now. And here we are: over a full year's worth of planning, training, worrying and more planning, and the walk is now a reality. Hope you enjoy the links!

· Follow along live (with satellite delays...) and know where I am, and where I should be…
·
Two lines will appear on the map; one is the blue/red
line of the planned daily route. Once I am walking there will be a tracking
line showing where I went, and a live line for where I am.

Episode 0: The Prequel (aka getting there) (Feb/March – March 6)
Before the boots, before the blisters, before the Southwest Coastal path battering, and before the Pennine Way steals hope and sucks it into a bog... Before all of that.... There was travel.
o LEJOG
Episode I: Land's End to Penkridge (March 7 – April ~5)
The story begins, as our hero leaves Land's End in Cornwall,
and through the swamps and moors, costal paths and roads, voyages to Penkridge.
Scheduled for 28 days! Will he survive? Maybe. Hope so…
o LEJOG Episode II: Abbots Bromley to Falkirk (April ~6 – May ~4)
Our hero braves the Pennine Way, fog, bogs, and likely loneliness induced insanity on his way through the end of England, and introduces the Scottish lowlands, covering Abbots Bromley to Falkirk in Scotland. Gotta make it to Scotland. There's a dram of "Uisge beatha" with my name on it.
o LEJOG Episode III: Stirling to John o'Groats (May ~5 – June ~7+)
The exciting conclusion to the Pilgrimage Trilogy, our hero conquers Scotland one step at a time, one dram at a time. Covering the Scottish shenanigans in the final third and the DRAMATIC CONCLUSION!
