Sunny and I went to Skyline Divide the day after I went to Bedal basin and since it was such a disaster, I quite the enjoyed the experience to go to a place that had mountains and meadows and valleys and berries, and mountains in-your-face. Skyline Divide's trail runs right up to Mount Baker and is actually a couple of trails as you can go on. The one that we went on is a the same up to certain point and then V's off and we took the wrong route.

But in any case, it was a wonderful hike and spectacular views. The sad thing is that it was 5 months ago, and I don't remember anything. So, here's the best pics from the hike. Including Marmots!!!!

The above picture is looking back towards the trail from near where we ended. The actual trail really goes up this ridge. And right before it is the main viewpoint and stopping area. That's where most people stop to trample the meadow.

Shuksan! Yay! One of my favorites!

This picture really doesn't show how red it was in places.

Mount Baker! Yay! This is about as close as you get on this hike, at least the route we took. There are other hikes that get you closer. Needless to say, I'll be there this year.

And this is where we stopped. You can continue on, but we were tired and a bit cranky, so we stopped for lunch, enjoyed the view and went back.
