Just a quick update on the for the curious masses…
I visited, conversed, dined, and enjoyed my father’s company for the first time in 15 years+. We had a great visit. It went better than I would have imagined it could. It was surprisingly easy and comfortable overall, even if topics were not very easy to discuss at times. It’s amazing what maturity and experience will do for you. I wish I was able to do it years ago, but I wasn’t. He may be a complete kook (or not), but he’s a very happy kook. I understand him better now. I never did; never knew him. I gots me a pretty good peekture now. We’re so very different, yet, so very, very similar in more ways than I realized.
I can actually call him, whenever I want, just to say hi; ask a question. What a concept. I live now without that source of conflict anymore; that bug in the system. I expect as the brain processes everything that has just happened that I’ll feel that weight lift. That will be weird.
This is what I am doing now; removing those burdens. No time (tolouse) like the present.
One by one, you all shall fall.
